Stephen J. Kay President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Kay is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of International Minerals Corporation. He has held these roles since inception of the Company in 1993 when the Company was known as Ecuadorian Minerals Corporation. He is a geologist with over 37 years of gold exploration experience in Europe, South Africa, South America and the United States.
From 1985 to 1993, he was founder and President of GD Resources Inc., a highly successful smelter of precious metal by-products from U.S. gold mines. From 1983 to 1985, Mr. Kay worked with Amselco Exploration (BP Minerals) where he was involved in the discoveries of the Colosseum and Yellow Aster gold mines, both in California. During his 10 years with Gold Fields Mining Corporation until 1983, he was responsible for the initial drilling of the three-million ounce Mesquite gold mine in California.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Swansea University in Wales, United Kingdom.

Eric H. Edwards Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Edwards is Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of International Minerals Corporation. He was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Ventura Gold Corp prior to its acquisition by IMZ. Mr. Edwards has over 25 years of experience in the gold mining sector in positions of increasing responsibility in operations, business development and corporate finance.
Prior to joining Ventura and International Minerals in July 2007, Mr. Edwards was Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, and Corporate Secretary for the former Queenstake Resources Ltd. from 2005 to July 2007. Edwards was instrumental in finalizing the merger of Queenstake with YGC Resources to form Yukon-Nevada Gold Corporation. Prior to Queenstake, Mr. Edwards was with Kinross Gold Corporation from October 2002 through March 2005 in a senior operations capacity in charge of accounting and materials management, Chief Financial Officer for Viceroy Resource Corporation from June 1999 to August 2002, and Chief Financial Officer for Ivanhoe Mines from June 1995 through June 1999, where he completed the initial public offering of the company.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Sunridge Gold Corp., Crescent Resources Corp. and Santa Barbara Resources Limited. Mr. Edwards holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Geology from Utah State University.

Craig Duncan Vice President, Corporate Affairs

Mr. Duncan has over 30 years of extensive experience in South America with industrial and mining companies. Fluent in Spanish, he has been a consultant with a TSX-listed gold-copper exploration company transitioning into production in Chile and Argentina and a private US-based emerald company operating in Brazil that is planning an AIM listing in London.
Previously, he was a commercial banker with Citibank in Chile and Venezuela and a private equity consultant for Merrill Lynch focusing on the Latin American market. In addition, he was President and General Manager of two Coca-Cola bottling plants in Bolivia and a copper manufacturing/coin company in Chile. Mr. Duncan is based in North Stamford, Connecticut and holds a BA in History from Columbia University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Scott A. Weger Corporate Controller

Mr. Weger is Corporate Controller of International Minerals. He is also Corporate Controller of Ventura Gold Corporation. Prior to joining International Minerals and Ventura in April 2007, Mr. Weger was Controller for four years at the Florida Canyon Mine in Nevada for Jipangu Inc. and the previous mine owner, Apollo Gold Corporation. In his accounting role, Mr. Weger facilitated the successful sale to Jipangu, assisting in the due diligence process, and was subsequently hired by Jipangu.
Mr. Weger has over 25 years of varied accounting experience in positions with increasing responsibility, mostly with precious metal operations in Nevada, Montana and California, and has managed all accounting functions, including Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management. Among his accomplishments, Mr. Weger achieved significant savings through an equipment buyout program and a successful property tax appeal.
Before joining Apollo Gold, during the 10 years from 1994 to 2003, Mr. Weger served in various accounting capacities from Accounting Supervisor and Sr. Mine Accountant to Controller for Newmont Mining Corporation, Canyon Resources Inc. and the former Placer Dome Corporation (and Getchell), Santa Fe Pacific Gold Corporation and Echo Bay Minerals. In addition, Mr. Weger’s previous work experience included accounting and audit roles with Western Associated Coal Co. and Rocky Mountain Energy. Mr. Weger holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in business economics from Purdue University. He also passed all four components in Colorado for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examinations.

Nick Appleyard Vice President, Corporate Development

Mr. Appleyard is Vice President, Corporate Development for International Minerals Corporation. Except for a short period, he has worked with IMZ since 1995. Prior to his recent appointment as VP Corporate Development, he was responsible for the technical management of all the Company's exploration and development projects in Ecuador and Peru, together with playing a key role in identifying and evaluating potential new corporate acquisitions for the Company. He graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Australia with a B.Sc. (Geology) in 1991 and has worked predominantly in gold exploration, development and mining projects in Australia, South America and East Africa. With his involvement in various precious metal projects ranging from exploration through to development, construction and operation, he has developed specialized skills in marrying resource and reserve estimation techniques with project management and economic evaluation requirements.

Mark Cannuli Exploration Manager

Mr. Cannuli is a geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Most recently, he was a consultant to International Minerals, focused on epithermal gold/silver exploration. Prior to joining International Minerals, he worked in a variety of exploration management roles with mining companies including Cominco Peru and Placer Dome. Mr. Cannuli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in geology and a Master’s Degree in mineral exploration, both awarded by McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Hernan Moreno General Manager, Ecuador

Mr. Moreno has been involved in finance and administration for more than 20 years, with experience in property acquisition, valuation, and restructuring and establishment of companies. Prior to joining International Minerals, Mr. Moreno was in management positions in the industrial and service sectors in Ecuador. Mr. Moreno has been part of the Company since it entered Ecuador in 1993, serving in various management positions with wide ranging duties, including overseeing government and regulatory matters, labor and community relations. Mr. Moreno holds a degree in finance and administration, a Master’s of Business Administration degree and is an Authorized Accountant (Ecuadorian equivalent to a Certified Public Accountant designation). He is currently studying for a law degree and is fluent in English.

Ivan Leiva Chief Exploration Geologist, Ecuador

Mr. Leiva is a geological engineer with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to serving in his current role, he was a project geologist at the Company's Vetaspata and Pallancata projects in Peru and the Rio Blanco and Gaby projects in Ecuador. Prior to joining International Minerals, he held chief geologist roles with companies such as ECUMINAS, ZAPA-PROMINEX and DINE. Mr. Leiva holds a Bachelor’s Degree in geological engineering and had completed post-graduate studies on geothermal deposits at the National Center of Investigations in Pisa, Italy.

Noe Vilcas General Manager, Peru

Mr. Vilcas is a geologist who worked previously for Echo Bay Mines and several Canadian junior mining companies operating in South America. More recently he was “Business Development Manager for Latin America North” for the well-known analytical laboratory ALS Peru S.A, based in Lima, Peru. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in geology from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima and he is fluent in English.

Roberto Baquerizo

Mr. Baquerizo is the Managing Director at ProVentures Inc, overseeing the Latin American region. He is also President of Mission Hills Holdings, financial advisory and investment firm specializing in Latin American clients. He holds a Master’s Degree in public administration from Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in education from Antioch University. He is also a graduate of Catholic University in Washington, DC. Mr. Baquerizo was the head of the Ecuadorian Central Bank from 1992 to 1993 and also spent 15 years of his career in executive-level positions within the Noboa Group in Ecuador.

Gabriel Bianchi

Mr. Bianchi is the Founding Partner of Bianchi & Partner AG, a private Swiss asset management company based in Zurich since 1997. He is a graduate of the Business and Economic School, AKAD, as well as the Swiss Banking School, both in Zurich. He previously worked in private banking with BSI-Banca della Svizzera Italiana in Switzerland and England. Prior to that, Mr. Bianchi worked as a Manager with UBS in Zurich for over 12 years.

Alan F. Matthews

Mr. Matthews is a Mining Engineer and a Chartered Engineer (C. Eng.) with over 30 years mining and exploration experience in the minerals industry, specializing in gold, copper and industrial minerals. Mr. Matthews started his career in South Africa with Anglo American Corporation and for the first 10 years of his career was closely involved with producing mines in various countries. Since then he has been involved with the start-up and commissioning of mines in Scotland (Aberdeen Barytes), Papua New Guinea (Ok Tedi) and the United States (various SX-EW copper operations). He is founder, President, and director of Kernow Resources and Developments Ltd., and a director of Arapahoe Capital Corporation and Redzone Resources, Ltd. (all Canadian junior exploration companies).

Rod C. McKeen Corporate Secretary

Mr. McKeen is a lawyer and senior partner with Axium Law Corporation in Vancouver, Canada since January 2004. Mr. McKeen has more than 25 years experience in all facets of securities and corporate law pertaining to the mining and exploration industry. Prior to forming Axium Law Corporation, Mr. McKeen was a partner in the law firm of Gowlings Lafleur Henderson LLP from April 2000 to December 2003 and a partner with the law firm Montpellier McKeen Varabioff Talbot and Guiffre from July 1996 to March 2000. Mr. McKeen’s practice encompasses emerging to mid-size mineral resource companies with projects and operations around the world and involves dealing with stock exchanges and mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions on a similarly global basis. He is also Secretary and a co-director with Stephen Kay of Ventura Gold Corporation.

Jorge Paz Durini

Mr. Paz is a partner with Paz and Horowitz (attorneys) and has practiced in the mineral law field since 1983. Mr. Paz has been extensively involved in advising companies on mineral exploration and development in Ecuador and was the Subsecretary of Mines of Ecuador from 1992 to 1993 and legal attorney of the Ecuadorian Chamber of Mines. He also helped draft the existing new mining law of Ecuador from 1989 to 1990 and is currently a consultant to the World Bank, with responsibilities that included drafting the new mining law for Argentina. He is also a consultant to the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) with respect to legal aspects of the mining sector.

Michael Smith

Mr. Smith has been a Chartered Accountant since 1971 and retired as partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2004 after 37 years of service, where he was principally involved in the precious and base metal mining industry. Based in Vancouver, Canada, he was also a director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for the US based gold mining company, Queenstake Resources Ltd. In addition, he is a director and an officer of several private institutions. Mr. Smith holds a BA in economics and mathematics from Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada.
